I recently received a tube of Van Gogh Azo Lemon Yellow as the supplier had no W&N version in stock. The body of the paint has separated from the oil within the tube and at first I thought it was just the bit under the cap but it seems to be all through. Although it's a nice colour it is rather oily to use no matter how much I try to mix it together; also it is supposed to be semi-opaque but is nearer transparent.
Is this typical of Van Gogh oils? Does anyone have any experience of them?
