I now  have an overpowering  desire  for choc - and  I blame  Marjorie.   Well, I need consolation, having heard that one of  my paintings had been thrown into a skip when its owner suddenly died: sic transit gloria mundi.  Fortunately I photographed it at the time, and could do it again - but I ask you: can  house-clearers not recognize aesthetic eminence when they see it?  Pass me a Kit-Kat Peter, I need it.
Commiserations Robert - great masterpieces have ended up this way! But why did you have to talk about chocolate again…..just when I’d pushed it to the back of my mind🤨
Reminds me, Robert, of a story Sylvia told us a few  years ago -

Yes, I  remember that!  It can happen to the best of us, obviously - what's annoying is that I'd put all the relevant  details on the back of the painting, so a quick look (which obviously, no one bothered with) should have told 'em that it was a professional job .....  but perhaps they looked at the front instead....... Taking Marjorie's mind off the substance which has set her salivatory glands  into overtime, I shall just mention gin instead:  does that work?  These are a few of my favourite things....
Oh gawd! The sun is over the yardarm somewhere…. Jenny, the same has happened to me! My little painting was in a job lot from a house clearance, just popped up, fascinating. Price was the same as when I’d sold it, didn’t buy it back though.

I have just been chatting to Sylvia, she is recovering from a loss of energy that suddenly hit her a couple of weeks ago , now very much on the mend . I let her know each evening what had been going on with the forum and gallery, I will photo copy this and send it to her this evening, she will be tickled pink , (without the gin). Her granddaughter Vickie will read it to her as the print is far to small for her to do so . Sorry for digressing but thought you might like to know that I was sending it to her .
Sorry Robert, the bag of KitKats is carefully counted and if there's one missing I get blamed. Rightly of course, because I'll have eaten it!
Best wishes as always to Sylvia - thanks for keeping us informed of her progress, Paul.
Thanks for the update, Paul. Nice to hear about Sylvia, we miss her stories.
Good to hear you are in contact with Sylvia! I miss her art and her humour. X
So do I, Tessa.
