Hi all, nice to make contact, im sure someone will be able to help! ive got a large oil that i brought mid 90s from a rag and bone man, it depicts a street scene with buildings in the background few trees, flowers and couple of people, can upload a photo if need be, the signature on bottom left is KLEE quite a distinctive one, as my knowledge of art is useless, just thought id call in with any possible advice, thanks and much appreciated.
Paul Klee Biography, Art, and Analysis of Works | The Art Story Try Googling this . If you look at image you would see if there are any similarities though from your description it dosent sound as if there are. Why not upload a pic so we can see. your description could be anyone.

As Sylvia suggests, upload the image so we can all have a look. I shouldn't think I would be able to help, but I would love to see it.
Paul Klee moved into abstraction and exaggerated forms quite early on, but some of his early work (usually signed Paul Klee, or PK it seems) was quite representational. So it's just possible you've got a real one: and if you have, it's worth a lot of money. But it's highly unlikely so don't get your hopes up. And yes - it would help enormously to be able to see it. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
As Robert has said, none of us can possible make any assumption without seeing it, that should have been obvious. The work of Paul Klee is highly documented and unlikely to have strayed to the hands of a rag and bone man, more likely a copy, and will or should to be easy to confirm on site of the item.
I ask myself that same question Sylvia - I never used to be so cynical - modern times!
I would agree Syd - said person seems to have gone to ground! I have been waiting with baited breath.
No, thank goodness Syd, otherwise I would not be in a position to answer you!
