Ooooer.....these are getting more difficult! Denise, could yours be.....Forever Autumn, or The answer my friend is blowing in the wind? Jim, the only one I can think for yours is .....sound of silence by Disturbed?
I think you've guessed Jim's, Fiona. I have to disagree with you Jim, about the best version. It's still Paul Simon for me, much more feeling to it.
Brilliant Fiona, just spot on. A really fantastic version of an already brilliant song (Sound of Silence). Well done indeed..

No argument re Simon and Garfunkel Marjorie, they were/are incredibly talented and made a shed full of hits. "Disturbed" are heavy metal and their version was just terrific for me. Well done to you and Fiona for knowing the answer. PS: I'm no heavy metal fan normally, and My first favourite from Simon and Garfunkel (still is ) was Scarborough Fair as I love madrigals and minor key stuff, choral, chant  etc, Sadness Part II etc and Seal's "Kissed by a Rose  " (pity the lyrics turn out to relate to drugs). I also love brass bands, something that came late in life, and the film "Brassed Off" was a feast of great music. .

Jim after hearing Disturbs cover of sound of silence I listened to more of their music, had to stop, my ears started bleeding! Lol I’ve got their version as my ring tone. I also like S&G but their version doesn’t make the hair stand up on the back of my neck.....
On the band Disturbed, their 2 biggest hits were covers. Simon & Garfunkel sound of silence, and Genesis land of confusion . Both are not in their usual style, well done Fiona for giving them a try.  On the heavy metal front here is my offering today.
I’ll dig out the Genesis cover Alan, thanks for the tip.
An intersting stream. Here's one for you. Which album features this watercolour?
