Looking through my pics I discovered these fellas.  The penguin's I did a few weeks ago Mary Anne Bartlett from Art Safari has been doing Zoom sessions.  Naughty lady uses moving bits of film and I'm trying to watch them on a seven inch screen,  .the chucks I see daily across the road.  The penguin with the punk hair do is apparently from New Zealand.

Nice sketching Sylvia lots of movement. I've just finished a canal painting...this is a quick sketch for another canal picture while I'm in the mood.
This looks like it will be a busy thread this month. The images presented so far are Terrific! I will post more than once, I am sure. For now, here is one of my Ravens (Turbulent Indigo)
Big drama Skylar....Very Shakespearean.
Here's a painting I did on watercolour paper I'd boiled with leaves to add background colour.
How lovely Linda ,  a super little Blue tit. I've used the inky stuff from shaggy ink caps and coffee but never boiled leaves.   Do you get different colours from different types of leaves ?
I layer a variety of garden leaves between sheets of watercolour paper, clamp the bundle and then boil it in a pan of water, vinegar and rusty objects. Some leaves print better than others but it’s fun unwrapping the layers every time and the paper makes a great background for a painting.
Thanks Linda.  Plus I suppose you get different colours depending on time of year ?
Yes Sylvia you do. I’m just waiting for a few more shrubs to get leafy and then I’ll try another batch!
All set to burst into song - I have a bird painting somewhere, if I can find it....
And found it I have.  Not a recent one, but reasonably apt.
