i recently learned how to felt- wet and needle method and was quite excited about the possibilities this presented (not felting cute shapes on to denim dresses or jeans) so i have been creating some felt art in the hope that it would teach me to make things simple when painting ie choosing limited palette and keeping to simple shapes especially with watercolours. I have been having so much fun with it that i haven't gotten any painting done for a while. Then it ocurred to me that my pictures might not be real art and i should join the knitting/crotchet website instead! So the question is firstly do people think felting is real art and secondly does it belong in the mixed media forum? *-)
