It's not looking 'tight' to my eyes Marjorie, but it is a tricky one to get right. Capturing light through a window is never easy. Have a look at the series of 'studio paintings' by Ken Howard, the one's with a model, generally nude, sometimes wearing a drape. They are quite stunning, and may give you some inspiration regarding how he approaches light through a window.
This one of yours has got atmosphere. I would actually tighten up the chair in the foreground, or the R/H side of it anyway, this will give the eye something to rest on that is in focus - that will help enormously in my opinion. A small detail, but it's all about small details as we all know.
