Finally started to change this pic. I’ve had this canvas, part painted for ages ( 80cm x80cm). Painting over it now, enjoying the process. Waste not want not!
Sorry if I'm thick Marjorie but this isnt what you are painting over is it ?  I do hope not as it's great.   I want to start a series of skies as I can see them... but been busy getting ready for an exhibition starting o n Saturday  anyone this direction do let me know.   How do you make that water look wet Marjorie., I mean the wet sand ?
That is really lovely Marjorie!
So far I’ve raised the sea and dabbled a bit with the sky. The sand will look wetter with reflections…..the mid section needs work because that’s where I want the focus to be. The palette will change a bit, I’m just playing around at the moment and there might be a figure or two in the distance. How do I make sand look wet? Just like you do in your pics Sylvia, by looking carefully, seeing which colours peep through. Was on the beach this morning, more looking and filing away. Best of luck for the expo Sylvia, enjoy the buzz. Our club exhibition is Aug Bank Hol.
Thanks Marjorie.
Wonderful Marjorie and the effects are looking great already.
Thank you Denise - just got back from the beach, will be continuing soon.
I can see that I’ve put too much detail in the middle bit but I was trying out different colours. Palette knife will come out I think.

Nothing wrong with your painting, Marjorie, love the clearness of the water. The clouds give a good perspective, not easy to do. Well done.
I really like it Marjorie, doesn't look like too much detail to me.
Well Sandra, it’s changed and I’m feeling better about it - not yet finished.
It’s a beauty Marjorie… those shapes left in the sand are so convincing!
