A query has just come up on Urban Sketchers Group. What do you do with your dirty water when out on a sketching trip ? .
If using cobalt or cadmium pigments, don't tip it into water courses. But it's very unlikely to cause any serious contamination if dumped in, eg, bracken or grass. The same applies at home - I tip mine out in a flower bed, and haven't killed anything yet. If you're in town, of course - this can be a shade more difficult; but there's usually a patch of grass about. And when you see what gets deposited in grass in towns, a little bit of watercolour water really isn't going to turn it into more of a hazard than it is already.

Drink it and wash my brushes in my coffee. 🤔
A question obviously posed by someone with nothing else to do. Is using brains forbiden amongst urban sketchers?
