I go to the Range now and again, usually for one tube of paint I've run out of and need right now. I think they have reduced their artists range though, as am often disappointed when I visit!
I've never been impressed with their canvas selection, but I normally buy my canvasses online (from Ken Bromleys or Jacksons).

I have bought the odd art supplies at the Range, but it’s always been a known product W&N for example . Sometimes they have offer on large tube of watercolour so I grab them when they are available, I always buy well known brands of sketching and watercolour paper usually from a art shop that I need to travel too. I have tried cheaper paper and brushes in the past but like everything else you get what you pay for in regards to quality . I have advised people who have attended the workshops that I have held in the past to alway buy the best the can afford in regards to brushes , paper and tubes of paint . Will I use the Range again yes if they have what I want at the time but always branded .
