Thank you for your kindness Marjorie. Some time ago I asked for advice on how to go about painting a portrait of my lovely husband  . Several  of you suggested various methods and ways of going about it. Now give me a flower, a tree, a dog and I will give it my best shot.  But ...portraits no not me.  Especially as nearly every photograph I had of Bill he has a big grin so all of my efforts made him look like Ken Dodd ..plus the teeth...ok they both came from Liverpool but Doddys teeth were quite prominent.   So I made a BIG ask of our lovely virtual friend Marjorie. To day a parcel arrived , not one but two beauties one in pastel and one in oils . I'm still crying...thank you Marjorie. Here is the oil .....the babe ( who I suggested dumping , has grown up into my wonderful grand daughter Lenny ,  Marjorie kept her in.)

Wow what a beautiful painting and such a wonderful thing for Marjorie to do . I a great fan of Marjorie’s  work and even more of a fan of her now not just the artwork. From what I know of Sylvia this is about the best gift anyone could give her and I am thrilled for her and would like to thank Marjorie for making a friend so happy .
Here here, and what a wonderful and personal painting. Well done Marjorie, you’re a star!
That has left me speechless -- a miracle in itself.  What a fabulous thing to do!
What a beautiful and emotive gift, I can see why you are so pleased with them Sylvia. Marjorie you are a star and clearly a lovely ( and talented ) lady. I reckon we all would love to meet you in the flesh!
