I'm not surprised it sold Robert, lovely. You can get heated gloves and boots, I have them for Raynauds, a few years ago I nearly lost all my fingers on my left hand and was attached to an iloprost infusion for 6 hours a day. I keep my home at a constant temp because fluctuating temps, trigger flare ups. I won't be able to do that this winter because of the energy costs. Luckily, it doesn't affect my painting hand, I would be devastated if it did.
Ooooh that sounds horrid Denise.  I am sorry, it affects so many people bloody Putin...
I sold this abstract monotype at a recent art trail I did a couple of weeks ago. It was bought by a lovely young man and his family from Hong Kong….now living in Nottinghamshire. He was a teacher and sculptor and when he fled from his home he had to leave his studio and his sculptures behind. He told me that my work spoke to him and reminded him of his home in Hong Kong. I don’t know how I held it together at such a heart rending story, especially when he said “…..they can destroy my art but they can’t destroy what’s in my heart”

I lived in HK for a few years before the hand over.  There was a brilliant art scene.  So sad....
That's great Ellen and knowing it's gone to someone who really appreciates it and reminds him of his homeland. You did well holding it together after what he told you.
What's happened to Hong Kong, what's happening now to Ukraine, is a tragedy - the triumph of totalitarianism over civilization - and this why I so despise the revolutionary left, who would inflict this ideology of rigid control over all of us: they managed to infiltrate my party - they need to be driven right out again.   Sorry, I've got too political lately - but it infuriates me that some may see these fanatics as having a place in the Labour Party: they haven't.
