I also agreed with the judges - not often that I do - but the winner was miles ahead I thought. Not many caught a good likeness but I liked the lady with the knife (why do the judges keep calling it a palette knife??) she had a good likeness but I agree with Bri, she did seem a bit "look at me". You are right Bri, it could have been the editing.
I'm managing to keep up, just about, and feel some good artists are getting through. However, one or two exceptional painters are being scrutinised for being too good. I heard Kate Bryan say that one artist was clearly the better painter but the other had more potential. They didn't show us to whom she referred. Is it a crime to produce a great portrait in the here and now? Intrigued. Bri
