Hello everyone.
Friends might have noticed that I have been conspicuous by my absence. There are reasons for this. Mainly it's because my wife is in full-time care, and there has been much to do to get her settled, after 6 years of caring for her myself. Last year, I had just about got used to living alone, when I was struck down with an attack of Cellulitis. This is a severe skin infection, which can attack the joints. (How it does this, I am not sure, but it definitely hit me in my replacement knees.} I spent about three months in 'dock' recovering and learning to walk again. I came home in October last year, and again I have had much to do since then. Now however I find myself able to return to painting. (My woodworking is out of the question for now, so I will probably never finish the easel I was making! Oh dear, how sad, never mind eh?) I suppose I will buy one...
I am slowly getting back into the routine of painting, but am mainly doing little studies; as watercolour is like that; have a break from it and your skills seem to desert you! Or is it just me? Anyhow, I am also fond of oils and pastel, so it's going to be a while before I am in full fettle again; or at least I hope I shall be.
Please note I am just trying to explain how I feel right now, and not looking for sympathy. When I need that I can always use the dictionary! Yes? :)
The upshot is I am looking forward to when I can add to my Painters Online 'gallery'. As long as I am spared, I will continue to paint, and admire the work of other members. See you soon online folks
Regards

Thank you everyone. Good to have friends to talk to! I will try to get around to your galleries in the next few days. I am struggling with a blocked drain from my sink, so it's taking me longer than I thought to get around to hours of painting.
I have made a stick of 'die-nah-might', in the hope it will do the trick on the sough!

Thank you Gudrun. I have tried most of the liquid tricks to keep it flowing. The drain itself is completely blocked and I am having someone in to attack it from below, via the the 'Manhole' in my garden, and going at it with rods. With my limited mobility, I dare not try using the manhole, as it's 12 feet deep! Otherwise I could tackle it myself! Oh to be young and fit again! I am just going to keep baling out the drain, until 'dyno-rod' turn up.
