Sylvia - well, there we are!  Very good example - here's you, getting into publishing well past the age of brimming girlhood, and not conceding defeat on any front just yet.  I encouraged Denise to follow your example, and now adjure Alan to do the same. Richard - much sense in what you say: I have indeed been a mentor over many years to all sorts of people: I got some published; I encouraged others to paint and draw and gave them the odd tip and steer; I've been a party political agent on behalf of candidates, having little or no desire to get elected myself - it just seems to be what I do: I wish, though, that I could do it for myself !  I need a me ..... Good point on the website, I do have one but as yet I don't have any control over it (which I know is mad) - I really must rectify this very soon, or I know I never shall.
Brimming girlhood….what was that ?
Surely you can remember!  Brimming with promise - with hopes as yet ne'er expressed never mind fulfilled - on the brink of comely womanhood and all the many experiences it entails - poised on the very cusp of future attainment! Up for it, basically.
Oh yay ….that ! .
