I've just tried to post an update of my Matterhorn painting and was advised that 6mb was the max. I checked the image and found it was 700 pix and 164 kb. I'm not a techie, so is this right or am I away with the mixer again? Bri

That’s quite a small file size Brian, just check that it’s in RGB and jpeg format.

Thanks for the reply, Alan. It's in jpeg format, saying "JPEG, Size 164 kb" on the properties details. I'll see if it works on other sites. Bri

JPEG should work,  but is the pic too small?  You could try increasing the size.  (tools menu)  I've had problems uploading to the gallery and reduced pics to less than 3.5 mb to solve it.  I've now had problems uploading to the forum.  I think the new site has glitches.

Thanks for the reply, Linda, Appreciated. I thought JPEG would work because it always has and I'm using the same camera/iphone, and resizing & cropping in exactly the same way as I always have done. I posted the original in the gallery and the dimensions etc were the same. So, I'm a bit baffled. It's never been a problem before. Best Bri

I've just emailed the Web Help re this and commented re others also having problems.  Hopefully it will be sorted or explanation given.

Just spotted this thread.  Had to try an upload...wouldn't do it...got 'there was a problem uploading your image, please ensure size is<6mb.'   I reduced my pic size to 2.6 mb, and got the same message.  I'm using a desktop PC.

Out of interest, I've just tried uploading pics in other folders...the actual WIP forum folder, the INSPIRATION forum folder, and the one about NEW MATERIALS etc.  My 2.6 mb pic wouldn't load in any of them...got the same message as above.  (I didn't attempt to write any text, just tried to upload a pic first...don't know if that's significant.)  Gremlins on the march.

Other than the gallery, I've had to reduce the file size before posting into the monthly challenge, so I don't post anymore, a shame as I enjoy this particular thread. Before the changes, you could pop in a painting and if you wanted reduce the size or leave it nice and big.
