As some will know I love poetry and have written volumes over the years. Many concern themselves with my other passion: art. They are mainly short pieces in the forms of monosuchs, couplets, haiku format etc and I have now gathered them into a collection of their own. I make no apology for the fact that in the main they reflect my own views of art where abstract reigns over realism. I'll post them one at a time over the coming weeks for those who are interested and if anyone else has any they want to post I would welcome seeing them. The first today from the top of the list is a  simple non-rhyming couplet:     Art that depicts informs  Art that hints excites
Whilst I’m no poet , and often don’t understand some, due I believe to being dyslexic , this one is really very good and I believe a true statement Michael.
Perhaps the daily sketchers could use some of your poetry for inspiration.
Three for today: A thought, an idea to transport the mind, captured before it’s forgotten. This for me is artistry in language sublimely defined. An artist produces A skilled artist reduces. Photography reflects reality Art reflects the soul.

Excellent, Micheal.   Thought provoking.  The first one resonates with me.  The big problem (and not just for me) is 'capturing' the thought, the idea, before it's forgotten.  Your poem says this far better than my clumsy words.
Thanks for posting these Michael, interesting and enjoyable .
Two more of my scribbles: Creativity is the domain of artists but not all artists create. Don’t draw what you know Draw what you don’t see.
