just seen that Adebanji Alade has a book out . The Addictive sketcher . For newer members Adebanji is one of life’s lovely guys, he used to post here on the gallery.  Hopefully his gallery is still around if you want to look.  His paintings and sketches are wonderful.  Was on Sky landscape artist, is on the One show , also contributed to POL mags.   Worth a look. And well done him 😊
Thanks Sylvia, yes he really is an inspiration for many artists.  He is an addictive sketcher, and his oil paintings are always a delight and source of inspiration, certainly for me.  I’ll be interested in adding his book to my already extensive collection of art reading material. He is of course, Vice President of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI). Just checked and it will be released January 2020. Looked at some of the content (Amazon), and it’s packed with great sketching ideas and of course many of his examples.

It will be good if it reflects Adebanji's work. For me he is one of today's leading painters, and a good guy as well.
Anyone fancy a painting holiday in Morocco with Adebanji? We have one arranged for next year - I bet it will be fantastic! https://www.painters-online.co.uk/courses-holidays/the-artist-leisure-painter-holidays/
Just looked it up and asked for details...
Just discovered Adebanji recently - he is on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AddictiveSketcher/
Ohhhh I shall have a look. Love his work. Always so interesting.
Just signed up for Adebanji ‘s trip to Morocco next year...whoooeee
Whooeee indeed Sylvia, lucky you! I was fortunate enough to meet Adebanji last year after one of the British Plein air painters’ days in St. James’s Park. He was very pleasant and approachable. The holiday looks fab. I sure you’ll have a whale of a time and produce some wonderful work.
Wow! That's something to look forward to Sylvia! I am sure you will have the most amazing time!
That’s a really exciting opportunity Sylvia, a superb artist who’s work I greatly admire - you’ll learn so much from his working methods I’m sure!
Boy only is he a super artist but also a lovely person.  A few years ago myself and some friends were raffling a sketch book for Syrian refugee children.  I asked numerous people to donate a small sketch, everyone did . But Adebanji sent me a small oil painting.  . We made way over £150 pounds .  Just so kind.
