The NEAC has indeed got a long history and a fine pedigree dating back well over 100 years. There have been some very famous names involved since its inception and it ain't easy to get selected for membership. On a par I think with the RA and ROI. I did subscribe last year to receive alerts as to forthcoming competitions but it I didn't receive notice. I've just re-subscribed again.

As you will know Georgina, the first step on the long road to adding the NEAC letters after your name is to get a work accepted. Good luck and of course it's always worth a go, I'll give it a shot next year.
When I first saw your work I did immediately think of Louise Balaam, you did of course mention her earlier. I do admire her dedication to painting and she has certainly developed an interesting style. Your work is much more figurative of course but also excellent. Have you been on any of her London courses?, I was almost tempted a while back but it's not the style that I want to develop personally. Would be interesting mind you.
