The Artists' Handbook of Materials & Techniques...5th Edition, as advertised in the 'GreatArt' catalogue...save £3 [Cover price£30]...tracked it down to Amazon @ £16.50 post-free...
It was last revised in 1991...typographical errors...editing mistakes...all imperial units... bibliography that stopped around 1965...water-soluble oils? Alkyd colours? Acrylic inks? Acrylics?...er sort of no...
On the + side I read it within the 10 days and was able to post it back for free..
As "Unsuitable for Purpose"...
