ive been making these for years and they are great for doing our daily sketch , or just having handy for quick scribbles and ideas ,saves not having beautiful sketches in precious sketch books.
Piece of good quality A1 cartridge paper.
Fold into two across middle .horizontally. Fold into middle into two vertically . Continue to make folds horizontally and vertically until you have 8across and two down A4 pages. Really crease the folds so they are nice and “creased” .Cut along middle fold as per photograph just across to A4 pieces.... Now you can fold it all back and you should have a double sided eight drawing spaces on each side of your paper so sixteen altogether.
This all might leave a bit to be desired and not very clear...POL posted it in LP some years ago for me I drew diagrams then. If it’s not clear and you are interested I’ll try the diagram route again..

For rough working out drawing, I use printer paper on a small clip board, this gives you a hard surface to press on plus it fits in my travel sketch bag, which I can keep all my pencils, paints in when I'm out and about. Then I put the good ones in A4 plastic pockets, and file them in a ring binder for later reference. This way I can give it an index, date place name, If I want to do a finished painting later.

I like my sketch books S they are made of nice paper. I’ve got quite a pile of them now. More attractive than printer paper Alan. Plus I find them very convenient, just Found some A1 lurking in the depths of a cupboard....Alan send me your address and I will post one to you .
