People come and go obviously, but anybody know what happened to Ibolya? A fine watercolour artists, she was quite prolific at one time then just seemed to disappear?. Just wondered if anybody knew?

Yes it's funny how people come and go. I haven't been on or commenting for a week or so as I've had a horrible chest infection and have been feeling very sorry for myself😞 thankfully I seem to have turned a corner today. I haven't even wanted to paint!!! I wondered about Ibolya too Jim. I can understand her being absent during the summer months as she does art holidays abroad, but it's a while since we've seen her. Another who has suddenly vanished is Mia, I hope she is OK.

Sad indeed - if good wishes were enough to cure her condition, I'm sure she'd find enough of them here. I heard of an eye condition a few days ago which seems quite horrendous - makes our age-related cataracts seem trivial by comparison. Eye surgery is always going to be difficult, but is so much better than it used to be, so fingers crossed. Margaret, I think Mia Ketels is OK, though - she has posted work on the gallery quite recently; she's had her struggles, like most of us (including you: I had a chest infection last year that was quite horrible, so I hope you have indeed turned the corner to better health) but still pops up with something new.
