According to the system, if I place a   “follow this artist”.  I will get an email notification of when they post new paintings, so I won’t miss any of their new artwork.    This used to happen before the new website,  but since then, I have had one notice of a comment made to my own work, but nothing about any other artists work,   is this just my problem or does anyone else has the same issue?

I’m with you both, as I have several artist I like and have gone through the same process. To date I’ve never had a notification of any new work by them. I have had notifications of comments on my own work.

I've not been getting notifications of other artists work either - however, I've just been going into the "artists you follow" bit and checking up there - mixed feelings about it as I get too many emails in my inbox as it is!

I don't get any notification from people I follow but I do from likes, for instance I've just received 3 from you this morning Margaret, so thank you for those and bothering to look. It's a lot harder now, I just used to forward some pages before to see if I'd missed anything but now you have to go through each one. There's lots of little things that are annoying with the site now. Wouldn't it be better if the For Sale art had a complete section of their own so we didn't have to scroll through those,  leaving the choice up to each individual person. It's bad enough with the four a day posting.

Strange goings on.  I get no notification for people I follow, neither do I get notifications for 'likes'.  I didn't know they were doing it.  So unless some box remains unticked on my part, maybe you know the right people, Linda.

As with the social media sites I use, I have decided to "bookmark" artists on my pc rather than use the email notification process. "Following" or being "Followed" seems basically meaningless, and the "LIkes" button gets farely sparce use here compared to (for example) Twitter, etc. Even people leaving comments don't necessarily "Like". What I DO appreciate about the site are the comments, (which I always try and respond to), and especially the viewing statistics.

Same here, the only notifications I get are for comments on my pieces.
