This is very good and unusual Paul.
One of the things I'm missing most is our trips to France. Nothing nicer than sitting out having a coffee and sketching the world as it goes by....5c
Glad to see you are all still enjoying sketching. I must admit to not making the time lately, but here is a portrait sketch, I have attempted recently.
Good Portrait Alan, and Barri  your French scene is a very good piece of work  Just my opinion obviously, but I really do prefer this to your more detailed work. This one makes a great painting.
Thanks George you're not  the first to prefer the sketches my wife is my biggest critic and also prefers them. I do lots of sketching before I do my drawings and paintings its the only way to train your eye to the fine details.  I did this one in Chester just before lockdown.
So pleased you have all managed to post some sketches. I feel a bit cross with myself for not managing to post anything having set it up for May but the move hasn’t gone as smoothly as I had hoped! But I am now in so hopefully I will manage a sketch tomorrow! Watch this space!
Sorry haven’t been contributing much recently but have been doing other things. Also now thinking about a birthday card for a young girl across the road  who will be 13 tomorrow (those were the days!) and is into skateboarding. This is not the finished thing but just trying ideas. Always leave these things til the last moment!
That looks brilliant, Tessa. You always get the weight bearing and balance just right.
My wife requested a picture of a historical figure close to her heart - Shivaji the Great
I'm on a 5.5ml walk from Anderton boat lift just stopped at Newman's Flash for lunch..
Thanks Marjorie. Here’s the finished version now delivered! I started this for the two kids near us when I couldn’t get out to buy a decent card, and realise it could be never ending! Fun to do though, makes me think and good to have a deadline.
Great sketches and cards . Mine today is the sketch for a painting . This will be  dedicated to my old boss who was injured when flying on Sunderland's  as. 19 year old master gunner and becoming a member of the Guinea Pig club .
