Well most of you know about“Sams Tale story of a rescue dog “ Those who don’t Sam is a very small Chihuahua x with a Jack Russell and the love of my life ,since my husband died last year.  Well Sam has written a book .  He employed me to illustrate it.  It is at the publishers right now.  He is very excited ,so am I ,so we popped the frontspiece on the animal rescue site where we hope to raise funds for……..someone….stupid person ,doesn’t like the pic .   Growl…and thinks it should be PRETTY…grrrrr.

I seem to remember back in the day there was a movement for animals to wear clothes to preserve their dignity - trousers for male dogs and skirts for female ones -  cows udders to be covered up too.  I didn’t and don’t hold with it myself.  All animals with the exception of humans should be naked as nature intended.  Sam’s bum is fine with me.

He he, with a topic title like that I just had to look! I've seen jewel things people hang over their cats rear ends, perhaps they make them for dogs too. I'm kidding... don't!

When you see a tile referring to dog rear ends it could only be Sylvia who initiated it. Well done Sylvia and Sam I sincerely hope that your book makes a lot of dosh for you excellent cause. I can see Sam having paw 🐾  signing days at the book shops.

Yers, well, now then - I'm not so sure that's his BEST side, Sylvia.  All things considered. But it does make me think about new directions in portraiture: which would be so much simpler to create, without getting bogged down in difficult features like noses, mouths, eyes....  You may be responsible for a trend......
