Never knock a trier and always happy to give a starter a helping hand, but I found the standard pretty low for artists on T.V.. Daphne still sticking doggedly to he "my way or the highway" mandates and not quite sure what the other female "expert is all about? Seemed to waffle on to little effect as advice. I was quite amazed all but one of the artists went for portrait view instead of landscape in the last challenge with that big natural shadow to use for effect yet they hardly managed to get both figures in the picture? Best of luck to them all but I expected a bit higher standard and, as Sylvia said, too much talk. Nice work on the fore-shortened sketch Tess. I filled a page with pretty meaningless scrawls because none of it held much of my attention. Took a couple of minutes each then moved on. Dissapointing show.

Too many celebrities, not enough art students.
I had the programme open in one screen, the "Pose Cam" open in another and found different commentary on each. I gave up in the end. It's "Figuary" over at the Croquis Cafe on Vimeo with daily vids from Love Life Drawing on Youtube; I'll stick to that.

I must have a look at Croquis Cafe, a few of you have recommended it. I had the pose cam on, but still got sound from the main programme which was irritating, and I would have quite liked to watch programme and pose cam but not together!
The RA drawing session last year was much more straightforward and much better, no celebs, no tv presenters.Edited

I recorded this, but it wasn't what I expected. Apparently the 'pose cameras' aren't available on catch up. Disappointing. Just had a quick look at the Croquis Cafe stuff on Vimeo. This is better...timed sessions...and quite a choice. I've not tried this before but I guess it's the next best thing to real life drawing. (I'm not able to find/attend these locally).

Vimeo is a video sharing site, it covers just about everything. You'll find Croquis Club on any search as Sylvia says. If you search for Croquis Club on Vimeo, you get loads of videos. You can download them for free. I'm thinking of doing that, copying the video onto a USB stick and then watching it on my big screen TV in my front room. The videos are in HD. Plenty of space in my front room, a bit cramped where my computer is. I'll give it a go sometime.
