Thank you Lesley and Linda for you kind remarks. Lesley I agree that it’s important to have something to help keep you going. I think it’s the initial shock, and fear of what might be rather than what is that makes you feel vulnerable. Like most people once I get my head around it, I will plod on regardless. I am sorry to hear that you are suffering also and hope that it’s something that is soon settled, do keep going. Best wishes to all.
I have been suffering with my hand for some time and the only comfort I have found is wearing these gloves I found from Amazon Medipaq Anti-Arthritis Gloves (Pair) - Fingerless Gloves for Arthritis Providing Warmth and Compression - Large with Grip--- I have been able to use my hands without very little pain,  I can recommend them and I also take a strong dose of Rose Hip Tablets  from  Lewtress on line I hope this information might help some of you, but anything is worth a try when dealing with pain....Tao
Thank you for the information Tao, I will certainly look at the gloves be easier than wearing splints for painting.
