Well guys it’s even more important to try and keep it normal. I live in Orkney and we are staying in level three for the time being unlike the rest of UK . Certainly our community isn’t complacent but watch the rest of the UK with sadness and concern. So keep on soldiering on and do try to keep it normal as best you can x

For me, art is an escape. Thank goodness there is something that I can become absorbed in in even if, at times I feel so angry with this useless excuse for a PM and a government. Normally, this site avoids politics and religion - that's good because , otherwise, we'd probably find ourselves at loggerheads 😆. Let's just continue to inspire each other with our art, a refuge from what's going on around us.

I’m not sure that I want to go back to normal. Changed circumstances and limitations make me want to do my best to enjoy myself and try different things as well as make the most of the resources available. I have thousands of photos that I can use for inspiration as well as the old and new masters. And last night I dreamt of Lewis’s characters coming to life along with some shadow puppets - so don’t be surprised if I start drawing caricatures. I’m doing a dance class this week too!

A chink of daylight for us. Our doctor phoned last night to tell us we can get our vaccine jab this Saturday. We're both eighty and my wife is very poorly, so we're supposed to be top of the queue. I think they've done well to get it sorted so quickly. A small doubt is about when we get the second jab. There's been talk of waiting 12 - 18 weeks for it on the TV. This is against the advice of the manufacturers, they say that hasn't been tested. But Too Late Johnson and his motley crew obviously know better. My son, who works at a large care home, has had both his jabs, with the recommended 2 week interval between them.
But one jab must help, so let's look on the bright side.
I've had a few naff days artwise. I've been doing stuff but nothing worth showing. I'll see if our good news has any effect of that.

By the way, thanks for your sharing your experience with your husbands depression, I think it’s a hard thing to talk about without feeling disloyal somehow. Enjoy the dance class.
