Ever had an idea about a theme or picture you want to work on, then when you research a little for reference you find its already been tackled by another artist. What do you then do? Carry on regardless? Or try to think of something original that nobody else has thought of.

Absolutely, paint away, there is very likely nothing that we can come up with in art that hasen't in one form or another been done before, and I am referring to art, so we can disregard Tracey Emin's slept in bed scenario and all the rest of that tripe. Just do your own thing, that's what I do and I am always searching for new techniques, enjoy and express yourself in your art, that for me is what it's all about. Right then, off into the studio to develop my 'Blue Period', surely no-one has thought of that one!!!!.
