I've been approached, as I expect many of us have, for several years on the trot to consider inclusion in this book, which we're told is distributed free to galleries etc across the USA and in Europe, and I've always ignored it in the past - but it's time I launched a sales drive or two, and I wonder if anyone else has signed up for this in the past and what your views might be? I think I can probably anticipate them, but I don't want to turn my back on something that MIGHT be worth pursuing.
Probably a complete waste of money, but you will already know that anyway. It's a compilation of artwork that will probably be sent unsolicited to a few galleries, but it may never get further than the receptionist, you will never know. You will not know the standard of work either, until you receive your books. I would like to bet that your 4/5 artworks WILL all be selected, and you will be asked to participate, as in sending them a few hundred Euro's for inclusion and your two or three free books. I don't like the idea, and I've never heard of them, but you can bet that their sole interest is in helping them to enrich their lifestyle, rather than creating any serious chances of increasing your sales in the future. Of course, I could be wrong, but I don't think so on this occasion.

Alan - I fink yer right........... when you think of the vast number of artists in this country alone, and add them to the millions throughout the world, the chances of this publication doing one much good are just a touch on the remote side. I hope to hear we're wrong, and it was a great idea for someone and brought them international recognition and a house in the Bahamas with hot and cold running servants, but -- I'm not convinced.
I have experience of similar books/directories in my professional life and without exception the only persons to benefit from them were the publishers.
