I was wondering how everyone takes photos of their paintings and how good the image comes out. Due to mainly working on watercolours under A4 size I tend to scan them, however this can cause one or two issues with the white of the paper. The scanner scans the image but also creates grey areas where it sees the paper texture. I also find that scanning can also create small light spots within the painting. Maybe I need to play with the scanner settings a little more though. :-) As for photographing my artwork I always find that even in good light the unpainted parts of the paper end up looking yellow and obviously not white. I have tried taking the photos in good natural light outside, but even though a little better it's still a tint of yellow. I've also tried this on different cameras as well. So how do you produce a digital copy of your work, it would be interesting to hear the different methods used. Thanks, Paul
