This is the first”proper “ painting I have done for a while  …well the only one I haven’t painted over.  I have decided I have DEFINATLY become an impressionist, I now understand them much better.   Honesty required please…..should I paint over it ? Eyes is worse…

NO DO NOT PAINT OVER THIS. Sylvia it’s a lovely painting keep it as it is . The colours are superb and it’s definitely an Evens  original.

Only just caught up with this, definitely DO NOT paint over it, beautiful colours, realistic shapes, really appealing. If I managed to produce something a fraction as good I certainly wouldn't be turning it to the wall either. Have you thought of just living with it for a while, have it propped up somewhere perhaps in the background, and see how you feel about it over time?  I am very sorry to hear your eyes are worse.

I only just spotted this, so for goodness sake Sylvia NO painting over this one!! As has been said, it’s a lovely burst of colour and a fab summery painting. Definitely a keeper!  So sorry your eyes are worse, but if you can keep producing work like this please keep at it and don’t feel there is anything “wrong “ with it. x
