Recently I met with an art degree schoolfriend who remarked that she thought the best way 'forward' in this day and age was to present your work on a website, in order to bring it to the attention of the public. As she specialises in restoration work (with great success) I am uncertain as to the relevancy of her advice where paintings are concerned.
What is the best way to bring your work to the attention of others, (Saatchi apart,) or does it depend on why you want to put it under a spotlight in the first place....accolades...criticism.....rather be kicked than not noticed? Or what?
