Double A3 Moleskine watercolour pad . Inktense pencil. This is from a photograph taken by a neighbour when on holiday in Pembrokeshire .( with permission) this is just going to be a try out for an acrylic painting.
I wonder if LS Lowry would have approved. I met him when I was a student at Rochdale Art College in the mid fifties . He looked at a life drawing of mine and made a harrumph sort of noise.

Still away to go Robert. Yes Lowry was a mate of our principal Leopold Solomon it was before his fame and he was still a rent collector in Salford.
There was a small gallery in Rochdale and I remember a self portrait of him in there which was nothing like his later work. .
I still wish I had asked him to " show me how " ...then add his signature .

m going to use watercolour....well I think I am. I want to create a watery background. But have a horrid thought that the Inktense will go berserk.
