Hi everyone, i am wondering if i can add paintings that have already been put on the main public gallery into a new gallery i want to make? For instance all my paintings are in Nerys B, but some of the newer ones are in a different medium, namely Encaustic, and i wanted to separate them out.  Is this possible at all, i don't want to try it and then lose all my work if it isn't possible? Is there a way to do this safely? I value your opinions on this.

Hi Nerys You can move existing gallery pictures into a different sub-gallery, without having to re-add them as 'new'.  If you already have a gallery folder called 'Encaustic', for example, you can edit any of your existing photos to change their location. It saves all the comments etc too.
Well apparently not, certainly not at the moment at least! I asked Dawn a similar question a while back.
It seems ok for me just now.... i went into 'Edit my art', then clicked on the picture i want to move, then 'Edit' , then just selected a different location from my drop down list of existing galleries. You could probably choose 'create a new gallery' at this point also.

Thanks Helen, i will make an Encaustic gallery and try moving a painting i have just the odd comment on, i don't want to lose anything.  Edited to add:  It is possible, I just successfully moved all the Encaustic paintings into a new sub gallery.
