Curious and curiouser. In her weekend sign-off, Dawn said she thought the comments were imported from the old website. So I looked at my art. I clicked on 'my account' in the top banner. Then clicked on 'my art'. Up came all my pictures. Clicking on individual images produced only my description but ZERO comments. This is the obvious place to look for them....right?? So it seems Dawn was wrong.
On a whim I did a search for myself on the Gallery page. Up came an entirely different gallery of my art...not in folders like the one accessed from 'my account'. Just all in one place...48 pages of it!! More importantly, when I clicked on a thumbnail image, up came the big pic WITH ALL THE COMMENTS.
I checked new and old pages...the comments are all there.
Not intended I think, the website contains TWO versions of our art...one WITH all the comments and one WITHOUT. Curious. A mistake.
Did someone offer a reward for finding the comments....Sylvia, wasn't it?
Great work from the POL staff to deal with multi-postings, and move the 'for sale' sign to a less ugly position.
I'm still worried about 4 postings (although great that it's been re-instated). Once artists get wind of the fact that they can stick their work for sale on POL for free, I'm concerned that we'll get dozens of them uploading 4 a day and clogging the system.
Perhaps I'm being too pessimistic? Yes, I am. Miserable old git.

I’ve tried in vane to get it reduced to two a day Lew, but I’ve accepted defeat gracefully now.
Remember that after the 60 day free trial it won’t be free! To add the For Sale sign you will have to subscribe to the new POStudio part, albeit it’s only a pittance, less than £30 a year.
Like many of us on here, I have little or no interest in selling my work online, it’s not what the site is about for me. I have a local gallery for that.
It’s the community aspect of it that I joined for - I do hope we don’t lose that part of it. I don’t believe we will!

I hadn't taken into account that a fee will apply at the end of the trial, Alan. But as you say, £30 is a bargain for promoting your art on a site like POL. Many people will LOVE this, so maybe it's selfish of me to regard it as a bad move. I've no interest in selling or commissions, I just like making pictures. My couple of years on POL has been great. I guess nothing stays the same forever. We'll just have to see how things pan out.
