Hang on Studio Wall

Last night I watched Fake or Fortune on BBC1, it featured the modernist/abstract painter, Ben Nicholson. It was fascinating to see how he was influenced, up to now I hadn’t heard of him. It was a good watch.
I find these programmes fascinating, I hadn’t realised it was on again. I’ll go and record it on catch-up TV.
Thanks Ellen. I had seen it advertised, then forgot! Thank goodness for catch up tv.
I also watched it last night, I love these programmes, hope it’s the start of a new series.  This one was especially interesting in that as the painting was directly onto the plaster of a wall, to remove it would mean getting a specialist in to take out an entire section of brickwork!

I do like the works of the early abstract artists, so I looked him up online. He was influenced by cubism and Picasso. I won’t say anymore for those of you who didn’t watch it, I’ll let you look at it on catch up. It was a change to see an abstract painter represented.
I had not heard of this painter but if I win the lottery' I'll be buying the wall. I've never watched it before and I don't watch much tv now but I will be watching this programme again. Funnily enough, when I was 21, I bought a set of four, I think they are prints, pictures from an antique dealer who was going bankrupt. They are still in the wrapping stuff I bought them in. I must dig them out some time and show you. Probably not worth anything but I remember they were very colourful and I liked them at the time.
Yes I watched the programme I have watched previous series too and thoroughly enjoyed them all!
