The sad loss of Derek Snowdon has prompted me to ask about another POL artist I am worried about. It didn't seem appropriate to post this on the thread about Derek, and of course there is no obvious place. However - there has been nothing from Dennis Rounding for two months, he is one of the artists that I follow, and knowing that he has health problems I am rather worried. He posted fairly regularly to the Gallery as well as commenting. He had moved into new accommodation so wouldn't have been as out of contact as he was when living on his boat. Does/would anyone know? Would the POL managers know if someone has just vanished? I feel a bit awkward about private messaging.

Many thanks Sylvia, I'll try that. I am really quite upset about Derek, if his daughter hadn't been in touch we would always have thought that he had just left us. And our generation probably doesn't really think about tidying up our (in my case mainly non-existent) digital life, whereas we would all have thought of things like a valid Will etc. I always assumed that I don't have a "digital life" but of course I do now.

Thank-you Fiona. I did take Sylvia's advice re messaging and have had a lovely reply. Yes he's taking a break from painting, having a lovely time in great weather, and practising guitar. Expects to be back in the next month or so.
BTW there'll be nothing from me the latter half of June, will be away. Will catch up on my favourite artists, forum etc when I get back.
