Hi all. My father bought this painting many years ago at auction, purely because he loved it. He has always said he would love to know more about it. Can anyone either identify the painting or the signature (which I have enhanced) please. I would love to do some more research on it for him. Many thanks for taking a look, Gary

Hi Gary To me, the signature is unreadable.  And searches of the image bring up many, many look-alike paintings.  Perhaps there's something on the back which might help pin it down?
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

Hopeless - I wish all painters would sign their works legibly: you can always put your name somewhere on the back of the canvas.  This is a good painting, it would be really good to know who had painted it!

Incredible, they don’t get much worse than this! The signature I’m referring to of course, the watercolour itself is an interesting composition with the close-up horses. Typical pastoral landscape complete with church spire and cottage - spoilt for me by the unnecessary (in my opinion), overload of detail in the field… buttercups as far as the eye can see!
