I can't believe that the Colour Mixing Guide is not included free with the magazine if you are a subscriber, but if you buy the magazines in store it is complimentary. Seems rather weird to me!!
What Colour Mixing guide?
Yes... I'm lost on this one also Peter, perhaps it was a free gift with the purchase of either TA or LP from the newsagents.
Maybe they'll put it on the website - indeed, maybe they have, I've not looked. I remember another series of colour mixing guides from another magazine, not one of 'ours'; it produced an anguished cry from a well-known artist and contributor to that magazine - 'are we to have no regard to cost?': the suggestions included mixing colour with cadmiums and cobalts, which even back then would have got fiendishly expensive, especially in oil. I trust this guide doesn't fall into that trap....
Welcome to the forum Kathy. I have found over the years that if you buy from a retailer a magazine you will sometimes get a free gift which is not included in a subscription copy. My theory - and I am probably wrong - is that we get the price of the mags cheaper on subscription so we are already receiving a good deal. But I think we should receive something like this type of guide free with the mag, sub. or not.
