On Wednesday of last week I led a watercolour workshop at Hughenden Manor as a fund raising event. All but one of the participants had never painted before, so we started with a very quick hello to watercolour paper, brush and paint. The day went really well and all managed to complete a painting of which they were pleased. Added to the day was a very nice lunch, and excellent venue.
Seven out of the ten wanted to take part in the next event, watercolour Christmas cards and bookmarks, as this was already booked up we have needed to add another day at the end of November. It’s always pleasing when people feel that they have had a good day and learned something new. For me it was watching people develop their skill during the day. Add to this money raised for countryside conservation work, a good day I think.

Congratulations on a good day out for your and your students. as you say it is also pleasing when you leave them wanting more. I do hope outage the same lovely time with your next day at Hughenden Manor. I am sorry I missed this days ago , but I don't think this new system is not as friendly as the old.
