It does assume several things
- you have an existing client base
- you have a budget to use Google ads
- you're ok using Google ads. Personally, I've blocked Google on most platforms as Spam
- that local businesses will listen to you and not just hang up. I'm sick of cold callers; I block all their numbers.
Apart from that, it's adequate. I'd suggest that rather than wasting money on Google ads you invest in some Public Liability insurance and start showing your stuff at local art fairs; it's more proactive and you'll get to talk to a whole lot more people.
