Not mentioning any names but there is a wonderful example of the above on the gallery at the moment. It'll certainly stick with you😉.
Couldn't possibly comment as I'm quite capable of producing rubbish of various kinds. But I know that to which you refer!
Not sure which pics you refer to...I guess we all have slightly different ideas on what constitutes the subject of this forum. There's often stuff posted that leaves me speechless for all the wrong reasons. I think I know what you mean. There are also several who think POL is for selling their work (I like some of it). Maybe they do, what do I know.
If it's the one I am thinking of, I suppose one could say it is more colourful than Alphonse Allais' 1883 work 'First Communion of Anaemic Young Girls in the Snow'. I remember the Royal Academy's Post Impressionism exhibition back in 1979 or '80, it was the only artwork exhibited as a copy and not the original.
Oh, I do love a bit of arty bollocks! As someone who can string a decent sentence or two of copy together when required, it astounds me at times the nonesense that people can come up with. I haven't read it and don't need to - wouldn't be overly surprised if the work represented 'the futility of existence' without even seeing it :)
I don't know what's up with you lot. Every mark I make tears a strip from my soul. Soulless Lew.
I didn't think a lady like you would use word like that Marjorie! Only kidding, what a marvellous title for this thread and I agree wholeheartedly with you. Made me laugh!
I need a clue. Haven't spotted it yet?
I;m like Jim, not sure which it was but if its the gentleman who seems to have rather a lot to say for himself, I think I;ve got it LOL !!!
People who talk about themselves in the third person make me laugh; they're soooooo pretentious
One really disapproves of such pretentiosity doesn't one. Pretentiosity - do you like Michael's new word? He is going to use it again later today. [ Michael Edwards(c) October 2018]
Whilst struggling with the existential juxtaposition between the reality of art and the art of reality, as revealed in the work itself, this forum member had focussed upon the description of the artwork and not that of the artist...........Or maybe he was just a bit slow on the uptake?
