Hi all,
Is it just me or in order to try to make a living at painting you have to be almost a better sales person/ cold caller than an actual artist!
I have managed to find a few coffee shops to exhibit in (some of the few independants out there) and I exhibit with local art societies and have had some solo exhibitions, but I am struggling to get a volume of turnover. I not only paint my own subjects but also produce animal portraits in oils. Anyone commissioning me has been really happy, it is just the problem of not wanting to spend loads on advertising, but letting people know I am here.
Please, please help me with advice if you can
