I'm sure by now you might have discovered my opinions re AI etc...in Scouse " No mark talentless bums ". Hockneys work a whole different  ball game ,I saw that exhibition as well Alan.  Somewhere in my plethora of pictures ,I have a couple I did digitally ,using the same programme "Brushes". . It was fun to use and it was creative and all my own work.  But still prefer my traditional stuff.  Lots of Hockney pics in  Saltaire near Bradford his home ground.   Sadly West Yorkshire white rose county.
Saltaire has a lovely gallery Sylvia, I visited while on holiday some years ago. So, being the nerd I am, I had to just try out this thing.  Using starryyai.com (found via a google search) I prompted:  Portrait of Rembrandt and this is the result.

I have to admit to being quite impressed by the image - given the way it was produced; and happily, no one is going to mistake it for a real Rembrandt.  I can also see it would be fun to do, but........ well there we are.  I shall stop stirring the pot.
Not sure I'd call the experience fun, Sylvia & Robert :) The face reminds me of the actor Martin Freeman. Who played Rembrandt in a film called the Nightwatchmen or something like that.  So perhaps all these silly AI things do, is search google for an existing photo and tweak it a bit.
That is, indeed, what they do.   Pity you didn't even find it fun, though!  Actually - I'm quite relieved ...
Sorry, can’t see the point, I doubt it has the same satisfaction of producing something with my own hand on brush, pen,  pastel or pencil!
Gillian I’m in total agreement with you . I don’t mind some digital artwork but it definitely not for me to do . As for AI produced artwork no thanks at any price no matter how good it is.
So am I Gillian, 100%.
I so agree re AI  use of manipulation..  But to use a digital programme to create is in my very umble opinion just another tool to learn and use.
