I'm being told I'm supposed to guess rules that I did not read anywhere in the community. And I can't even private message anyone in order to ask for guidance because there doesn't seem to be a private message system available. I can't contact the admins via private message. This is very unusual for a forum.
Just go with the flow Lucien ,here in the UK it is far too hot.  Maybe you have both different criteria and weather in Romania... Diolch yn Fawr.

It’s worked well for many years and been a great source of help to a good many newcomers as well as established artists.  We don’t need pages of rules to trawl through, it works perfectly well for the majority of us on here. And it’s definitely not dying, we have new input regularly from existing members and new alike!
There used to be a means of directly communicating with members - but I think it no longer works.  It may work from the Gallery, though - too hot and bothered to check right now...  There are few rules, you can find the basic ones (or should be able to, if they weren't lost in the site re-design) by going back on this thread: and you haven't broken any of them, a word of advice you received was just wrong (from Sylvia, which she has admitted with apologies).   Just post your thoughts, Lucian - it's hard to break the very few rules that exist unless someone really goes out of their way to try!  I have some administration privileges, and it's no problem to me at all if you wish to email me directly on: [email protected].  Plus, you can always contact the site controller (Dawn Farley) by clicking on the envelope at the top right of the screen.  This site does have its glitches, as most do - you should try dealing with the website of a certain political party which which, until very recently, I had to struggle! - but you can always ask someone for guidance: and with your obvious command of English, I don't think you'll really have any problem here if you just be specific about what it is you want to know: there's no shame in asking questions.   Edit: I've just checked on the Gallery, and you CAN email any member from there if they show their work; it can't be done from the  Forum, that's true.   Also see Denise's comment below, which is helpful.

Lucian, I'm sure you have done this but if you go to the home page, scroll down right to the bottom of the page you will see links for contact us, terms and conditions, there is a section, terms of website acceptable use, when you click on terms and conditions  and also a contact number. There is also an email address I think, you could forward your queries to such who will have the specifics regarding rules and regulations. Hope this is helpful.

Robert, in the past I have tried to email from the gallery on several occasions, and don't think it worked as I did not receive a reply. And I know that on one occasion a POL artist tried to email me, I only know the email didn't reach me because she alerted me in a comment on one of my paintings. As I would like to know if it works now I have just emailed you from your profile in the Gallery, and would really appreciate it if you could advise on this thread whether you received it or not. Thanking you in advance.
Robert confirmed that the email I sent him from the Gallery did work. Many thanks Robert. It looks as if past problems have been sorted. Good to know.
