Thank you so much for trying to find me when I was offline - my computer turned up its toes and issued a sad farewell to the world on Christmas Day.   I'm struggling back with a new computer - let us not dwell on the expense: I wish I didn't have to - and it still needs fettling, but  - let there be flags and bunting,   I'm  back.  What d'you mean ,you didn't even notice I'd disappeared?   Well Norette and Alan did, anyway, and one of them was about to start ringing round the local hospitals ,,,, I've filled in the time, produced drawings and paintings, got myself acquainted with an Ipad so hope to produce better photos of my paintings; and I missed you all.....  I really did; when you've come to rely on computers, being deprived of one is like losing a limb; you don 't realize, or I didn't, until it happens.  Anyway, here we are again, and it's good to be back (Largely thanks to a brilliant computer technician and, be it said, Google Chrome - whom God preserve).
Welcome back Robert, and I can assure you that I missed you too, and was becoming very worried (and was about to inquire through someone at POL I correspond with) when I got the good news, through POL, that it was your computer that had died and not you! Hopefully we'll see the drawings and paintings on the Gallery. Best wishes for the New Year, hopefully it will be a happy and creative one. Some interesting forum discussions going on at present, hopefully we'll get the enjoyment of your input.
Welcome back, Robert.  And don't forget to keep all your computer credentials in a safe, memorable, place. 🙂
Good to see your back in the land of POL , what a rubbish day for a computer to crash, it does make the wallet shrivel up when you look at the price of a decent computer.
Norrette - I will; I used to be a very efficient bureaucrat, but retirement made me too sloppy with record-keeping - fortunately, Google was extremely helpful, though I can't as yet get back into Facebook (and do I really want to.....?).  Paul: just saw your reply; yes, it was superbly timed, wasn't it.... just try finding a computer technician in the Christmas and New Year periods.  Still - I drew a lot, painted quite a bit, and read extensively: I can't complain, but - as you know - I'm not going to allow that to stop me - life without a good solid grumble is not for us here at the Batcave..

Well Robert, you were briefly back in what might be called 'the good old days.'  Must have been a pain, for all its faults I'd hate to be without my computer.  Glad you are back.
Welcome back Robert. You have been missed. I am so glad you are well and you got your computer sorted.
Yes, welcome back Robert. I was about to phone you, so you've had a lucky escape! Glad you are alright.
Normality restored - welcome back Robert. We do have a habit of thinking the worst when members disappear for a while!
All’s well that ends well and all that , Robert. ( You were just keeping us on our toes!)
Welcome back, Robert, wondered where you’d got to!
Good to have you back Robert. I did see mention of your computer dying, and must admit the idea seemed quite appealing to me at times. I sometimes feel the urge to dump mine in the nearest pothole….but that’s another story.
