Don't know is the answer Pat. The industry has no real clarity as manufacturers seem to show no consistency. Just found this definition somewhere on the web: A bulb is generally a filament based device which gives light on heating of particular filament whereas a lamp has a light giving element. Clear as mud. I'll continue to plug in lamps and bury bulbs in the garden.
I think guys, we need to give the old brain cells a chance to re-group whilst getting back to the painting!!!
