I visited Patchings today and thoroughly enjoyed myself - so much to see ( and buy😊). It was actually more enjoyable that it wasn’t too crowded, yet still full of atmosphere. Saw some lovely paintings from members of POL, including one BIG winner, but won’t spoil the surprise.
Unfortunately Patchings is a bit far for me to travel.  Looking forward to seeing the exhibition on-line, though.  Do we know when that is likely to be?
How lovely Marjorie glad you enjoyed it.....Big winner....who,who,who ?
So glad you had a great time Marjorie, I might try and get there next year, it must be lovely seeing everyone's work. You have got us all intrigued.
I visited Patchings yesterday for the first time and despite the heat I had a great day- so much to see! It was lovely to see the exhibition and was very impressed with the entries and to see some names I recognised from here. I went to the workshop with Adebanji Alade ( a treat from my husband) and had a fantastic time- what an infectious personality.
What a lovely treat Christine, I bet the workshop was great.
Patchings is fun I have beef twice many years ago.   I actually have had a painting* hanging there.  .  It isn't easy to get to  from my bit of Wales....maybe another time.. Happy you both enjoyed it.
It was great Denise. He brought some of his sketch pads for us to see and told us about the people behind the photos we drew, as well as guiding us on our sketches in his own inimitable way.
Lucky you Christine he is a great guy.
It is too far to go for an exhibition for me too.  I only managed to get to Nottingham earlier this year, because it was between my medical appointment in Cambridge and my holiday in Mull.  I with the would hold it in different parts of the country each year.  For that reason Ido not not ally enter.  Lucky for those of you who manage to go.
The exhibitions at Patchings look absolutely amazing! The judges had a really hard time deciding on award-winners this year. We have an e-newsletter going out on Thursday with all the details of the prize-winners - make sure you are signed up to receive them - and the online exhibitions will go live on August 15 when you will be able to vote for your favourites to win the People's Choice Awards.
Did anyone take photos at the exhibitions? We'd love to see them!
