I'm waiting with baited breath to find out where this years TALP exhibition will be now that Patchings has been sold. I'm hoping that it isn't going to another London based.

There isn’t going to be a competition this year, I have that on good authority from Warners. With the sale of Patchings, this obviously disrupted any plans for this year. As to future years, that is not a certainty as far as I can tell at this stage!

Within the last 48 hours, I've had a reply from a Facebook Messenger query sent on New Years Eve. TALP say an announcement will be made soon on Call for Entries  Patchings have also announced 3 day arts festival in July.

That’s good news for many of us I’m sure, and different to what I was told previously by a member of Warners management team -  that it wasn’t going ahead this year… Thank you for the updated information… Better get cracking then!

I’ve just seen an advert for the Artfest 9–11 July 2026 |so glad to hear TALP is onboard.

I’ve also seen that ARTfest advertised Kris, but no mention of TALP…unless I’ve missed it! I don’t believe that this event has anything to do with the competition run by the magazines - as I understand it, we’re still awaiting confirmation of the dates from Warners. Of course I could be wrong…I’ll speak with the Warners team next week and report back.

Thanks Alan.   That was me putting two and two together and instead of looking what was in front of me coming to my own conclusion. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Possibly wishful thinking on my behalf as for many years the two have run together.   Would be tight for the competition but not impossible.

Has there been any more news on TALP.  The Patchings Artfest has now been cancelled for this year. It is now definitely going ahead 2027.   I’m on the email list for exhibitors so will wait for more news.

Not heard anything as yet Kris, I’m still doubtful but Warners did say that TALP competition was definitely going ahead…so I’ll take it that we will hear something soon! These threads are monitored by the management team, so hopefully they will respond.
